The most famous Russian fairy-tale Children's poem of Peter P. Ershov, edited by A. Pushkin, translated by Simon R Gladdish and Vladimir Grounine. Ershov's work is a traditional folk tale, skilfully written in rhyming couplets. It has been a children's classic in Russia for nearly two centuries and to the best of our knowledge has not been translated till now. |
